Hello lovely readers!
Another post in less than two hours? I promise I wont make any more until tomorrow after this one..
This post is going to have nothing to do with makeup or beauty... I also promise that MOST coming after this one will.
I got a request from my friend Misty to do a blog on organization. I have struggled with staying organized my entire life, but this past year I have really stayed on top of things. Here are some ways I do it:
1. Prioritizing- I always prioritize. For instance, I need to do tomorrow's math homework more than I need to watch so and so's new video. When I make to do lists, which I do often, the most important things are on top.
2. Making To Do Lists- I find that when I make a list of what I need to do, I don't procrastinate as much. If I know exactly what needs to be done, I am more likely to do it and get it done then wait around and realize I need to do something when its to late!
3. Scheduling- I am addicted to scheduling. I follow one daily, even when I am on break. I don't just schedule time to do homework, study, practice piano and hang with friends... I also schedule time for everyday things like sleep and relaxing, and yes, even watching videos. I usually schedule doing my homework, then schedule taking a break, then practicing piano, then reading twitter, etc. If you make time for stuff thats important, then give yourself a break, you'll be ready to move on to your next event.
4. Doing stuff when its assigned- We are all guilty of putting off big projects, etc. I space out parts of big things so that its done early.. For instance, if I had to write a five page paper in five days, I would write a page a day.
5. Turn off the technology!- If I'm having a hard time with procrastinating, or just getting distracted, I turn off my phone and computer and leave them in another room. That way, I have nothing to do but my work.
Thats all I can think of right now! Another post will be up tomorrow. :)
TTYL,
Emily<3
